Book Covers

For this project, I chose a costume designer and an architect. My initial research focused on interviews where the designers spoke
about their work. In this research, I saw that the costume designer, Ruth Carter, said that her work on Black Panther brought her career full circle, so I used her designs from that film as inspiration for the cover. That design incorporates Adinkra Symbols and patterns inspired by Vlisco fabric. The inspiration for Zaha Hadid’s cover was her famous building in Beijing, China.
